Hi, I’m Lee Parkes, Founder and CEO of BUSHDOKTA Healthcare Store and Coffee Lounge. We opened our doors on 31 January 2020 with a mission to bring natural remedies and holistic wellness to the Birmingham community and beyond.
My journey began with a personal experience. After sustaining a knee injury, I turned to prescribed medication for pain relief. While the treatment helped, it also had side effects that impacted my overall health. Searching for a safer alternative, I discovered the benefits of plant-based oils and natural remedies. The improvement in my wellbeing was so significant that I wanted to learn more. This led me to attend the first HEMP EXPO at the Birmingham NEC in 2019, where I connected with trusted international suppliers and distributors. From there, BUSHDOKTA LTD was born.
I hold a Holistic Practitioner Diploma (awarded by Dr. Laila Africa, USA, December 2019) and a BA Hons in Business and Healthcare Management. With this knowledge, I set out to combine holistic healthcare expertise with high-quality natural products, building a business that puts healing and customer care at its core.
Since 2020, BUSHDOKTA has continued to grow despite the challenges of the pandemic and the rising cost of living. Thanks to the loyalty of our community, we’ve expanded our range of products and services. Today, our lounge is a place to enjoy medicinal herbal teas, specialty coffees, cakes, and healthy edibles, while also exploring natural remedies that support long-term wellness.
Beyond refreshments, we offer health consultations and assessments using the latest diagnostic techniques. Over the years, I have worked with clients facing a wide range of conditions, from everyday colds and joint pain to more complex challenges such as diabetes, sciatica, blood pressure management, nicotine addiction, and pain relief support. My mission is to provide a welcoming space where people can connect, relax, and make informed choices about their health with the help of holistic advice and natural solutions.
